Primary account, enterprise technology strategy
Applied Relevance’s longest-standing advisory relationship. Led the Fund’s evaluation of enterprise search platforms — Microsoft, Autonomy, ElasticSearch and others — and the taxonomy and pipeline architecture behind imfbookstore.org. Findings presented to Fund management shaped a $4M enterprise technology strategy implementation.

Lead Data Engineer (contract)
Built an AI product-data enrichment pipeline on Databricks and OpenAI for massive retail catalogs (Yahoo!, Shopify, Walmart). Acquired by Shopify; the platform capabilities contributed to the valuation behind the acquisition.

Built and published the Adobe Experience League Markdown extension for VS Code, and automated the Flare-to-Adobe-Flavored-Markdown documentation migration.

Founder, Applied Relevance. A semantic taxonomy and auto-tagging platform combining MarkLogic with Apache Jena (RDF/OWL) graph technology. The brand now carries Epinomy’s warehouse-management platform.

Founder, via WAND Inc. A taxonomy-management and auto-classification platform for SharePoint; IP sold to BA Insight in 2013. Distributed engineering team anchored in Russia, with support and development in Mexico, Canada, Ukraine and Bulgaria.
Verity / Autonomy / HP1996–2006
Senior and Principal Consultant. Global enterprise search implementations for Fortune 500 clients including Pfizer, Coca-Cola and EMC. Built feature-vector and statistical-classification systems — Bayesian categorization, concept clustering, vector-space recommendation and auto-summarization — well before “embeddings” had that name: the statistical-NLP lineage LLM-based semantic search descends from.
